SIMPLICITY
Simplicity is what I crave,
And be in abundance but still keep humility,
To be influencing yet allow influence,
But the mystics of life,
The pleasantries of temptation,
Always drive me astray, astray into luxury
Simplicity is what I crave,
For am despised by exuberance,
They say it bears immorality
And am scared, scared of falling short,
For am only sententious, am only a man
A man trapped between luxury and simplicity.
Simplicity is what I crave,
To have and not seem like have,
To have yet not seem like I don’t have,
I pray for society’s help, society’s humility
For we’re born to prejudice
Whether in luxury or simplicity.
